Earlier this week I mentioned that I was going to take some family photos for my friend who just had a new baby. Lots of family members are in town visiting so we found it to be the perfect opportunity to get some shots of everyone together. I decided to do most of the photos outside on the back porch but since it's screened in, I didn't have a lot of room to work with. Taking pictures is much harder work than it should be. I was trying to get good angles but was met with some challenges. The baby was of course adorable in her little black and white outfit but I know I still need lots and lots of practice. I need more people to practice on. Otherwise I guess my kids are going to get sick of the camera. Here are a few of my favorites.
I think you have a way of including the value & specialness of the moment with the toast, the loving family members, and yes I know the dog has always been a big part of the family, good shot. Nice job! Keep up the good work, I look forward to more any time of anything.
Those pictures are GREAT!!! That baby-well I could just eat her up! Hey,if you send me your email address I'll send ya the Old Navy Coupon if you still want it! <3 Becky
Despite the limited space on the back porch, I think you managed it well! Working with natural light can be quite a challenge, but if you stay at it, you will quickly learn when the best light occurs each day and how to best use it. Of these, my favorite is the one with the dog. Love the expression on the new mother!

This is me. I am a 30 year old wife, mother, RN, photographer, cleaner upper, part time cook, hair band maker, computer talker, breastfeeding, baby making, sunshine loving, hometown Texan, military spouse living woman.. I love my life as mommy and wife. I couldn't ask for more right now...except maybe to move back to Texas. Any questions? Just ask.
The Daddy
Here is my husband and father to our three beautiful girls. He is in the Marines and loving every minute of it. I hate when he leaves for months at a time but he is serving our country and does a dang good job at it. I don't think he ever thought he would end up with three girls but he loves them with all his heart.
McKenna
Our full of life 6 year old is McKenna. She is very independent and loves being a big sister. She is in kindergarden this year and loves to draw. I love her imagination and how she can make anyone laugh.
Kambry Lynn
Being the middle child isn't always easy. Kambry is 4 and is our little sweetheart. The word "NO" is hard to say to her when she walks up to you with those sweet eyes and soft smile. Kambry is a second mommy to little Aislynn and loves giving kisses to everyone.
Our Baby Girl
Aislynn is now 1 year old and keeps us on our toes. She is nothing like her sisters and lets you know that. She likes to play peek a boo and chase her sisters around the house. She is also running all over the place. We love her more than words can say.
Well, I am a 30 year old mother of three beautiful girls, three four legged boys, and a husband who I sometimes refer to as another one of my kids. Right now I am working two to three days a week as a Registered Nurse and the rest the time I stay busy with my girls at home. Photography has become a passion of mine. I love photographing my family's lives. I love kissing their little toes. I love being a wife to my husband and watching him be a father to our children. Life doesn't get any better than this!
