Fix It Friday #13

You know I am back and ready to try another fix it friday over at I ♥ Faces. This week we have a lovely photo of a little girl with flowers. It was fun to try different things. I am still busy packing away so I just did a few quickly.

Our Little Graduate!

The school year for McKenna just flew by. Today she had her little graduation ceremony from VPK which stands for Voluntary Pre Kindergarten. Here in Florida it is offered for free to get the children ready for school. I think it's great. They get to learn, meet other kids, and I get 4 hours...well, I don't really get 4 hours but it's one less kid and that makes for easier errands I suppose. Anyways, back to what I was talking about. I think it's so cute how they have graduations for the little kids. I think I had a graduation for my preschool but I don't remember too much. I think I remember seeing pictures of me in a yellow gown??? Maybe my mom can find one and scan it to me...if she is looking for something to do that is.
Here is my McKenna with her fake diploma(she doesn't know that of course).

Here is a picture of her whole class.

And who doesn't love to eat cupcakes to celebrate??

Here is McKenna with her friends Annabelle and Caitlyn.

Gearing Up

We have been gearing up for our big family vacation. I hardly remember the last time I went to Disney World, it's been almost 20 years. We are all so excited. My hubby has never been, neither has him mom who is going with us. The girls are so excited too. They want to go NOW!!! This past weekend we went to the Disney Store at the mall and bought of couple of things for them to wear for the trip. Sunglasses, tank tops, and flip flops. I guess Kambry was a little confused because the next day she said, "Grammy didn't get to go to Disney World with us." Then we had to explain that we had just gone to a store and the real Disney World would be way bigger and much better. She got those big eyes like she knows it's something good but not quite sure what to expect.
I am in the piling stage right now at home. That consists of making lots of piles of what I need to take. I have one pile for Kambry, one for McKenna, one for Aislynn, one for me, and then a random stuff pile. I feel as if my house is becoming over run by piles of stuff. I am also in the cleaning mode. I like to leave for vacation with a clean house so when I return I get to come home to a clean house. Good thinking right??
Anyways, I am off to Kenna's graduation from pre kindergarten. I don't know if she really understands that today is her last day. I will post pics later. Have a great day everyone!!

I Heart Faces "Laughter"

Kids entry:

I am not sure if this is your typical "laughter" photo. The girls were playing in the sprinkler, trying to get wet but at the same time trying to keep from getting water in their face. They were laughing, smiling and having a good time. Head on over to I ♥ Faces to check out what everyone else's entry is.

Not ME! Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was all started by Mckmama. To check out what everyone else is not doing this week click here.

This is going to be an interesting one. I feel as if I have so much to talk about which may not be a good thing.

I would never want a moment to sit down, relax, eat some lunch, and check my email all at the same time. I also would never sit Aislynn down on the floor next to me, give her some toys to play with, and get sucked into reading something on the computer. I would then not hear my oldest daughter say, "Mom, look what Aislynn has," look down at her sitting on the floor and NOT see her with the dog bone like it's her own chew toy. I mean come on people, do you think I would give her that to play with?? Well, I guess my dog thought she needed it and set it down right next to her so she picked it up and put it in her mouth like any good baby would. I also didn't almost have a cow with that whole situation.

Yelling at my dog seems to be something I do on a regular basis. He has his good days and his bad. I guess last week he was having a bad day...you know with the whole bone situation and all. Well, he was out in the yard doing something (I can't remember what) and I was yelling. Oh, now I remember, it was about to rain and I was wanting him to come inside before he got all wet. And, since I didn't want to get wet either I opened the sliding glass door just enough to stick my head out...or so I thought. Then, I didn't totally slam the side of my face into the door frame because I obviously didn't misjudge the opening.

To top it all off, I did not do those last two things within five minutes of each other!!

T-Ball Schmee-Ball!! I didn't get into a raised voice argument with the t-ball "wannabe"coach on Wednesday. I did not get all competitive and act like a crazy parent and I did not almost leave the game early. I did though think long and hard about going back for the next game. Then I remembered it was for Kenna, not me...remember I am almost 30...I am not a little girl playing softball anymore..I need to let it go...but it's hard sometimes.

I did not actually clean my living room so I could take a picture of it for Kelly's Show Us Where you Live Friday. I mean come on, everyone knows I keep a very tidy house all of the time. I don't have three kids and three animals running around at all times or anything. I also don't have a husband who likes to think he is tidy...sorry babe if you are reading this.

Well, that's all I have to say for this week. I hope to make next week an even shorter list. We are gearing up and getting ready for Disney soon. I can't wait, and neither can the girls!!

Landscaping Project Complete

Last week we were working hard raking, bagging, digging, planting, watering, carrying, placing, and most of all sweating!!! But all our hard work paid off and we are finally done with our little landscaping project. There was a rather large area on the right of the sidewalk that everytime it rained I would have a pile of woodchips on the sidewalk to sweep back where they belong. I just got tired of it so my hubby and I decided to change it up a bit. This is what the front looked like after we took out all the wood chips and small bushes. We sodded in part of that large area and then added rocks and a few new plants. We are really happy how it turned out.
Here's a picture of one of the loads of rocks we got to spread out in the beds. It was back breaking work...for me anyways. We even got a tree to plant in the backyard. I love to look out the window by our table and see our tree out there, it's so nice. I wish we had many more but sometimes that's the price you pay when you live in a developing subdivision where they clear everything out to build.

Mommies Are Awesome

There is nothing I enjoy more than being a mom! Ever since I was young, and I mean elementary age, I wanted babies, and lots of them. I have three amazing little girls and I am so grateful for them. Each day I watch them grow, each day I see ups and downs. Each day I am reminded how lucky I am to have them. The word "Mom" is a word I love to hear every morning when I want to sleep in but there is a little voice at my side saying they are ready for breakfast. I love how I can comfort them when they are sad, make them feel better when their feelings get hurt, kiss away the pain when they get a boo boo, and praise them when they do something good. I love it all, all that comes with the word "Mom"!! So to all those moms out there today and those mothers to be...take some time to relax and look back at where you used to be and how your life has changed for the better. I wouldn't have it any other way.
