Last Saturday morning we got up early, loaded the kids in the car, and went to drop off the hubs for his Double Bridge Run. It is a 15K run starting in downtown Pensacola and ending up on Pensacola Beach. Even though I know most of the country is having lots of snow and really cold temperatures, we were still cold out there in our 40 degree weather(that's cold for us Floridians). He finished the race in 1 hour and 12 minutes. The clock in the photo says 1 hour 13 minutes but that is because it goes from the time the race started, not when he crossed the starting line. We are all so proud of him. He will be doing a couple more triathlons in the spring and summer and then hoping to do an ultramarathon (50 miles) in the fall. And yes, I think he is crazy for all that running. But, as long as he is happy and enjoys doing it, we will support him all the way.

Congrats to your hubby. He did a great job. I love the Dallas shirt by the way :)
that is impressive!!! I can't even run a mile in that amount of time! :) HA!!!
How awesome! Love the pics with the finish line.
Awesome! I am hoping to run my first race this year. I just gotta work past my nerves.
And an ultra-marathon??? Oh my. I have never even heard of that, and I am having trouble picturing that happening!
Way to go hubs! How cool that you guys can support him as a family :)
Wow, does that ever take me back...I still use my Double Bridge Run t-shirt back from 1998 to sleep in. :) I think it is getting a bit worn... That was the last run I did prior to the Blue Angel Marathon sometime towards the end of February that year. Is your husband running in that one? My legs are itching to get back out there, but I will wait for the temperate weather to arrive! Way to endure the cold; good thing he is fast.
Wow! That is inspiring. My goal is to eventually run a measly 5k. What a great thing to want to do...
And 50 miles?! Just wow.
