OR

2) If you want something for an older child I will make you a beanie with flower or bow(your choice) on a clip that you can easily remove and use alone or with something else.

All you have to do is leave a comment to this post. Say what you want or simply say Hi. This giveaway will run through Friday 4/3/09. If you want an extra entry here's what you do. Mention my giveaway on your blog and link it to mine and/or follow me.

Now on to my other business!

I was pretty sure that MckMama wouldn't post a Not Me, Monday post but I thought I would anyways...in her honor. I am still asking you to keep baby Stellan in your prayers. He is not doing all that great right now. His heart is getting tired and not working as well as it should.
I am hoping you get a least a little laugh out of this week. Most of my moments occurred at the ball park yesterday. Alright, here we go.

I did not forget to put sunscreen on everyone let alone actually take some with me to the ballpark yesterday. I didn't laugh at my husband's farmer tan(burn) and Kambry's sunburn on the part on the top of her head.

I would never let my three year old get her hair spray painted purple and pink. Her two pigtails looked scraggly and wet afterwards but I told her she looked beautiful.

I didn't get super competetive and get really upset when the third base coach kept sending runners home(when they would easily be tagged out by the pitcher) when there wasn't a force out. I didn't proceed to ask the coach in a rather unsweet tone if the third base coach knew the rules. I didn't think how much better of a job I could do if I were over there.

I did not stay in my house for almost two day straight because it was raining last week and I didn't want to go out in it. That would just be silly to be afraid of the rain or getting all wet.

Hopefully I will be better this week. Hope you have a great week too!!

Two Game Sunday

We were expecting to have a somewhat full day of t-ball, but it ended up being more than we thought. The opening ceremonies were set for around noon, so we got there a little early. It was then when we found out that we would not only have one game today but instead we would have two. I knew at that moment it would be a long, long, tiring day. It's hard enough to keep three young children entertained for more than a couple of hours and now I was looking at 6 hours of it. Okay so enough of my whining. On to the games and McKenna. You can see how her uniform swallows her whole. She did well, as well as a 5 year old who has never played before could do. They played her at catcher. She had absolutely no idea what she was doing but since the catcher doesn't really do much at all in t-ball it was ok. The first game they won 19-17 and the second game they lost but I am not sure of the score. You could tell that the kids were tired and didn't play as well during the second game. I took a few pics and a little video of McKenna hitting and running. It was a warm, long day but overall it was fun for all!!

Babies, Dogs, Kids, and Funny Stories

Update on Stellan:
He is still in the hospital with constant SVT and nothing has helped to break him out of it. He is having trouble getting IV's to stay working properly and is a very, very hard stick at this point since his heart is not pumping blood as effeciently to his peripheral veins. So, instead of letting him be a human pin cushion, he is going to have a more permanent line put in this morning. The family is also looking into a second opinion at another hospital to see if any other doctor can find a treatment for this little baby boy. You can hop on over to her blog by clicking here.

It's another dark and rainy day here in Florida today. I like the rain when it gets the grass watered and I don't have anywhere to go, other than that, it just gets in my way. The dog doesn't want to go outside either because of the rain to do his business so I am constantly trying to figure out what he's doing when he sniffing around the door. We put him in the garage this morning and he was able to do something in there. I am glad we put the pads out for him...and then he totally missed it. Oh well, I guess that comes with having a dog, more to clean up after.

I have a funny story for you. It's a little PG 13 so I hope I don't go too far with it. It all started a couple of days ago when Kambry would be sitting on my lap or next to me on the couch and reach over and squeeze my boob. I thought it was funny but just brushed it off and she went on to her business. Then yesterday as I was getting out of the shower, she walked in. She immediately came over and was trying to squeeze me again. I quickly put the towel around me and asked her what she was doing. This is our conversation:
Kambry: "I like your boobies."
Me: "Why do you like them?"
Kambry: "I like the milk in your boobies."
Me: "What makes you think that you like it?"
Kambry: "Well, I like the milk out of the refrigerator."
Me: "Mine is a little different, mine is for when you are a baby and just babies drink it."
Kambry: "I want to be a baby so I can drink milk out of your boobies."
Me: "You are a big girl and you drink the milk out of the fridge, we need to save my milk for Aislynn. Besides, you wouldn't even know how to get it out."
Kambry: "Yeah I do."
Me: "Then how do you do it?"
Kambry: "I just put my mouth on your boobie and drink it."
The reasoning of a 3 year old is just brilliant.
I think that Kambry might be just the least bit jealous of Aislynn and her milk. I thought it was funny what she said, but I will have to remind her that she already did that when she was a baby and now it's Aislynn's turn.

On another note, all it took was me mentioning that I didn't see any teeth yet for Aislynn for one to pop through. It was the very day after I said Aislynn was still toothless when the first itty bitty sign of a tooth emerged. I have noticed that she has been a little more fussy at night when I put her down. She sometimes wakes up once or twice before I go to bed, but then she sleeps most of the night. I am just glad that she didn't let me know she had a tooth in "other" ways if you know what I mean.

Here is a new bib I got for Aislynn off Etsy. Laurie over at Laurel's Lullaby made it for her. I asked her to put a cute pink backing on it to make it more girly and she was so responsive and sent it right away. I got it yesterday so I couldn't wait to try it on. Aislynn seemed to like it and Bart did too.

Taking Pictures "IS" Fun

In this picture Aislynn would say it's not fun. I just made some new hats and headbands and was having Aislynn model them for me.

I think she had a good time. Then she started trying to take them off. I love this little rose one...what do you think? She was highly entertained while playing with this cute tabby giraffe.
Still wanting to take it off.
This one looks really cute on her.

So Kambry wasn't modeling anything for me but I just liked this picture for some reason. I guess it's because she is just kind of staring at me.

Aislynn 7 months and counting

This past month went by so fast (as I said in an earlier post). I was sitting there today thinking wow, Aislynn is 7 months old already. Then it dawned on me that I haven't done her monthly weight and length. So, today was the day. She is now a full 16.0 lbs and 26 3/4 inches long. I have yet to see a tooth even though I was sure a couple of weeks ago I saw something right under the gums. She is still nursing well, 4-5 times a day. She eats rice cereal, oatmeal, yobaby yogurt, and a few bites of any other fruit and veggie. I think she likes the sweet potatoes, peas, and green beans the best. I did notice that she loved the taste of a powdered donut. I put it up to her mouth so she could taste it and she gummed off a whole piece. I had to fish it back out of her mouth so she wouldn't choke on it. The greatest thing for me is how well she sleeps through the night...10-12 hours straight. She loves sitting and playing with her hands and loves to be entertained by her sisters. Here is a video of her having a good time with McKenna and Kambry.

The Past Week in Pictures

I love this picture I took of Kambry running around the backyard. She was having so much fun. If you look closely you will see that she is in mid air. Talk about action shot.

I got the girls to stand together and act like they like each other for a picture...trust me it was momentary love for each other...haha!!

Here we are at a birthday party McKenna went to for a boy at her school. The weather was so nice that we all decided to go.

I finally got that picture of Aislynn in the buggy...she liked it a lot. We are going to get lots of bike rides in since the weather is getting nice and warm.

Aislynn was giving me the pouty face and I just couldn't resist. Even though I don't like to see babies cry, it's just so cute to get on film.

This is the "I'm trying to poop mom, go away!" pose. She had serious written all over her face. Boy, was she smelly when she was done with her business.

Days gone by

Wow, where has March gone? It seems as if just yesterday it was February and now we are nearing the end of the month. As I drive home from dropping McKenna off at school I see all the new life that is growing right in front of my eyes. The flowers are starting to bloom, the grass is turning green, and everything just looks alive. I really enjoy looking out the window and day dreaming as I drive. Even though the radio is on, the kids are making noise, and the Blue Angels are flying overhead, I still find it to be a quiet and relaxing time for me. It's my time to think.

There are many things that cross my mind. Today I was thinking of another family and what they must be going through. Little Stellan's heart is still in SVT today. This precious little baby needs the strength to push on, he needs rest to get through this and we hope that his little heart will convert to a normal sinus rhythm. Please put him in your prayers.

Take each day one at a time. Remember to tell the ones you love that you do. Give lots of hugs and kisses. Don't forget the everyday ordinary miracles. Try and smile, and make someone else smile today. Be thankful for what you have.

Not ME! Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. Her precious little baby boy is sick in the hospital. Please pray for them.

I am full of ridiculous things I do on a daily basis. I just usually don't share them with anyone. Well, this is the time of week when I let it all loose. I will admit that some things are just down right embarrassing.

I would never spend the entire day(a weekday none the less) in my pajamas. I didn't get up early on Monday morning, saw it was raining, hopped in the shower, and put my pajamas back on and stayed that way until bedtime. I would never look so unkept and ready for bed. I like to blame it on the rain. It just makes me want to get back in bed anyways.

I did not go buy three Easter dresses for my girls, knowing I would be returning them anyways. I didn't go the store that day looking for Easter dresses, was misguided to the baby section by myself, and proceeded to not spend all my time looking at cute little outfits for Aislynn (which I didn't need). I did not run out of time and grab a few dresses so I would come home with something for my older girls to try on. One dress was a winner though....YEAH, I did something right.

I did not make sure we drove all the way across town on Saturday night to so I could use my Hobby Lobby coupon for the week. I didn't think it was worth enough energy to get everyone ready and piled into the car, sit for half an hour driving across town, and then make sure we get in the store before they closed to get my extra 40% off. I guess we did get a good dinner out of it since we were so far from home anyways, we went to Olive Garden. It was Aislynn's first time, I think she enjoyed the scenery, and the rice cereal and green beans(the three bites I got her to eat).

I didn't just have to have a Sweet Tea from McDonalds on Sunday afternoon, drive there, get a large cup full with no ice, get home, put ice in it, take a drink, and then couldn't even drink it because it was way too sweet for me. I didn't spend the next few hours trying to figure out a way to dilute it enough to drink it but never be able to get it just right. It is NOT still sitting in my fridge. I do have plans to make my own tea and mix it with the Super Sweet Tea from McDonalds and see how that goes.

Dreaming of a new Camera

Every since I was little I have been in front of the camera, thanks to my mom. It was just something I was used to and looking back I am glad that she took so many pictures of me. Of course, I was her only child so I can't fault her for that. I was the center of her world. I guess in a way, I still am. And I would like to say that I carry on the obsession of taking tons of pictures of my children and my life. I would go as far as saying I really, really enjoy taking pictures. I have my point and shoot camera in my purse at all times so if needed it, it's right there, ready to go. I have been working on getting some cute pics of Aislynn as she grows. And since I am not working right now it has been easier to find the time to get her all dressed up and take pictures. But, with all that said, I am getting to the point of desperately wanting a better camera. I have been wanting one for quite a while but have never taken the plunge and gotten one. I am also reading up on tips for taking a good picture but a lot of things I can't do with the one I have. Don't get me wrong, I can still take decent shots with what I have...but to think how much better they could be. Anyways, I guess that was just my thought of the day. Ironically, I don't have any pictures to post today...maybe next time.

Explaining the last post plus Aislynn news

I realize that I didn't really explain the whole video thing about teeth. Last week McKenna's preschool class took a trip to the dental fair that the local community college was putting on. Apparently they showed them a video about how to take care of your teeth and what would happen if you didn't brush them. She came home that day wanting to floss all the time and brush after each meal. She even talked about how she shouldn't eat things with sugar in them. It was funny when she said, "I learned that if you can't brush your teeth after eating then you should chew gum, but not the kind with sugar in it." The next time we were out eating somewhere she asked for a piece of gum. Wow, this child has learned a lot, and now she is keeping me on my toes.
I also have some good news about Aislynn. She has finally decided to let me get a full night's sleep. At first I thought it was just a fluke thing. Then she slept all night the next night, and the next, and she still is. It has been almost a week now with no night wakings. YEAH Aislynn and yeah for ME!! I love getting sleep.

Who Fears the Dentist?

This might actually be a valid question to many people. I wouldn't say that I fear the dentist but I definitely don't enjoy going to the dentist. It's probably my own fault really. I know I don't floss as often as I should and I haven't really worked hard to get those hard to reach spots. It's my lack of attention to detail when it comes to keeping my pearly whites, pearly, and white. Now, you are probably asking yourself why I am writing about going to the dentist or what this has to do with anything. I was thinking about some things I overheard my children saying to each other today after lunch and it got me thinking about last week. They had a friend over for lunch and playtime and as everyone was getting up from the table McKenna says, "Friend, you need to go brush your teeth or you will get holes in them." I tried explaining to McKenna that I was sure her friend had a toothbrush at home and she could brush them later. McKenna piped up, "Well, she can use my green one, I have two toothbrushes." Then I had to tell her how we usually don't share things like toothbrushes. "It's just for your mouth," I said. I could tell that McKenna was still upset. She even was starting to tear up. Then, with the saddest sounding voice she says, "but I don't want her to get holes, she will get holes in her teeth if she doesn't brush them after she eats, that's what they said on the video." I mean I understand using the scare tactic sometimes....but really? I guess the video they showed the kids really got through. Ever since she came home that day afterschool she has faithfully gone to the sink to brush her teeth after each meal. I guess I should have found that video sooner.

Here is how McKenna's school picture turned out. I was glad that she smiled pretty.
Aislynn in her green outfit from yesterday.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Don't forget to wear your green today.....I am going to make sure the girls are all greened out. Hope you have a great Tuesday everybody!!

The Red and White Dress....Remember When

Once upon a time I was just a little babe sitting there playing with my toys and wearing a lovely red and white dress. Then, I grew up. I went to school, got married, and had a family of my own.
My first child was a girl. She too once sat around playing and wearing this very red and white dress. My second child was a girl also. I thought that I didn't get a chance to put her in the dress but thanks to my mom, I realized I did. It was around Easter time in 2006. Baby Kambry and little McKenna sat side by side and so the dress was worn once again.

Now it is 29 years from the time I once wore it and my third child, another girl gets to wear this lovely dress. It was almost too small but I was able to get it to fit for just a day. Aislynn enjoyed playing with toys sitting on the floor and wear the dress her mommy wore when she was just a baby all those years ago. But now instead of bonnets we wear headbands and cute bows.

Not ME! Monday!

It's Monday again. Let's let everyone know the real me (or you!).

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

McKenna came running into the living all upset the other day. I asked her what was wrong and she replied, "Kambry is laughing at me and hitting me with her panties and it hurts." SO, I did not laugh back at her because that is just too funny. Nope! Not me!

It was late on Friday night, probably around 9:00pm. The girls really should have been getting in bed for the night. Needless to say, I didn't give in to their begging and I didn't let them eat a pack of FunDip and turn their mouths all sorts of colors. Afterwards, it was straight to the bathroom and a good brushing of the teeth. Surprisingly, they went to sleep quite well and slept till late the next morning. I did not consider doing that more often...maybe it worked. Nope! Not me!

Over the past week or two I have been working on making headbands, hats and bows. It has been really fun but I think sometimes it has taken up more of my time than I should let it. I did not turn on the tv, put on a movie, and let the girls watch all afternoon so I could work on my stuff. It wasn't quality time with the kids, but it was quality time for myself. I didn't think about doing it again the next afternoon. Nope! Not me!

I wanted to win it...you know, the Dream Home that was given away by HGTV. I really wanted to win it. I entered just about every day. I was ready to win it. But, I didn't. I also didn't drive around town this past weekend looking at beautiful homes (actually some could be labeled mansions) that I would never be able to afford. I do like to dream though.

Well, I hope everyone else out there had a good week and didn't do things they look back at now and think are silly. Come on everyone, tell us all about it. Even those of you out there that don't blog....this is a great time to start one. So, for you all you quiet ones....BRING IT!!

Guess Who's Sitting

That's right...Aislynn. She has been working very hard this past week on her sitting skills. I think she finally has it down. She doesn't move anywhere but if I sit her up she will sit there and play for a long time. Eventually she will topple over and when she does, that's where she lays until I move her again. I think she really enjoys being able to pick up and play with things and be a big girl with her sisters. Here are some pics of her sitting today.

Here are all my girls. Sisters and best friends forever.

I guess the girls are following in my footsteps. They are such great photographers.
