Sunday Fun

So we went back to the beach like planned and it was much hotter than Saturday. Aislynn wasn't having it. She cried a lot. I don't think it was just the weather and sun but that she is just fussier than her sisters were. McKenna and Kambry and Bart had a good time though. They tried building a sand castle and found lots of seashells which McKenna was so proud about. Kambry just liked getting sandy. It was even in her ears. Going to the beach is fun but takes a lot out of you. After lunch we sat around and watched football then grilled chicken for dinner. I plan on getting some stuff out to decorate for Halloween this week. I think McKenna has decided she wants to be a mermaid and Kambry is convinced she is going to be a spider. I think it will be fun to take them trick or treating this year.

A Trip to the Beach

Today, we decided to make a trip to the beach to walk along the boardwalk and look at the shops and then let the girls go walk in the sand and look for seashells. McKenna and Kambry were so excited and had such fun playing in the sand that we have decided to go back tomorrow and take towels and swimsuits this time. The weather is absolutely beautiful right now. I think this next month will provide us some really nice days to spend some time outside without getting too hot. Aislynn seemed to enjoy her time listening to the water hit the shore but at the same time it was close to feeding time for her so she was a little cranky too. We will see what tomorrow brings. Anyone who wants to come visit and get some beach time, you are always welcome.

Venturing Out

So yesterday I actually got out of the house for more than just dropping off and picking up McKenna. Of course I probably wouldn't have gone by myself, but my friend Lauren who lives down the street went with me. We just ran errands but it was nice to have some adult conversation. I think we might get together more often to do girly things. Aislynn was wonderful on the outing. She just slept the morning away in her car seat. I think she has caught the sniffles from all of us. She is sneezing and has a little bit of a runny nose. I feel so bad but it seems that she is not in too much discomfort. I will watch her closely to make sure it's nothing more.

As far as life changing with 3 children over 2 it is more busy for sure. I have to plan out my time more if I want to get somewhere at a certain time or even get certains things done throughout the day. McKenna and Kambry really play well together and keep each other entertained for the most part. Of course they are sisters and do get into sister fights every now and then. The one thing that does take a lot longer with three is getting in and out of the car. We have McKenna and Kambry in the far back so getting back there to get Kambry all strapped in takes some time. McKenna is such a big girl, she can do all the buckling and unbuckling herself.

The weather here today is just beautiful. It in the lows 80's and breezy. I really should be doing something outside right now but knowing my luck the minute I get out there Aislynn will wake up and want to eat. So for now I can sit with by screen door and enjoy the outdoors from indoors.

Birthday Nana

I wanted to say Happy Birthday to my mom today. She is so caring and does as much as she can from a distance. I know that she hates being so far away from all of us and missing out on all the nana experiences she would have if we were closer. Even so, we all love you and appreciate all you do for our family. Maybe since we are closer, we can see you more over the next few years. Have a great day, sorry we aren't there to share it with you.

Football Sunday

Today we spent a good part of the day watching our teams play football. Of course since we are from Texas, we always look forward to watching the Dallas Cowboys play. They came out with a win over Green Bay so the day ended on a good note. Go Dallas!!! Kambry got sick with the cold that I still have yesterday but she is managing it well. Even by lunch time today she was trying to convince Bart and I and that she wasn't sick anymore. I guess because she was feeling better and wanted to play outside. They love to go swinging on their swingset and like to run around the backyard racing each other. I asked McKenna if I could blow dry her hair straight today and she agreed. So, after about 20 minutes of combing and drying we ended up with a pretty good looking head of hair. She was very excited about it but the end of the day after all the running around outside and playing, it was half curly again from the humidity. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. Aislynn has been turning into fussy baby every evening for the past week or so. I am not used to this from my past experiences with the other two girls so I am not sure what it is. I just hope that she gets over it quickly. Not much else happened over the weekend, now I am already looking forward to next weekend.

First time to "blog"

Hello everyone near and far. I know I just started an Aislynn website where I add pictures and info but I have decided to take it a step farther and do this one for the whole family. I hope to keep both up to date but it all depends on how my day is going. Today, for instance, has been pretty good. I am sick with a cold so that's no fun but Bart got off early and Kambry and Aislynn are taking a nap right now so I have found time to myself. So, I thought I would hop on the computer and try to get some good use of it. As for what is going on with us, here you go. We have no big plans for the weekend, maybe some tidying up here and there. McKenna had show and tell today at school (she does every friday) and decided to take a horse that we got at the dollar section at Target. You push a button on the bottom and it makes sounds. She seems to always go back to the toys that were the cheapest so I wonder why we even bother with the nice ones. Kambry is really talking a lot. Sometimes it takes me a few times of listening to her before I can figure out what she is saying. She probably thinks mommy has lost her hearing but Kambry doesn't really pronounce her words all that well yet. Aislynn is one month old today!! Wow, I can't believe it's already been 4 weeks since she was born. I plan on trying to weigh and measure her myself so I can keep track of her growth. When my mom was visiting, we got out all the baby books and I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. I am really going to try to stay on top of Aislynn's book, but I have to go back and fill in what I can for McKenna and Kambry. Well, I guess that's all for today. This page is still a big work in progress but I hope to make it look a lot better soon. Thanks for reading!! Until next time...whenever that may be...stay safe everyone. Oh, one more thing. I am adding a video of Aislynn smiling when I talk to her. Enjoy!!
